Corona Cases Increases, Jakarta Residents Get Strong Warning

News24xx.com - Jakarta experienced three times the record of adding positive cases of Coronavirus (COVID) within one week. DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan called this a warning to its citizens.

As is known, in the past week, the record for the addition of the first case occurred on Wednesday (8 July), seen from the official website of Corona Jakarta, corona.jakarta.go.id, a record number of 344. Then, the record broke on Saturday (11 July) with an additional 359 cases. Then, broke another record today with 404 cases.

Anies said Jakarta could return to the status of strict large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). At present, Jakarta is undergoing a transitional PSBB with some easing.

Anies requested that the addition of high cases not be taken lightly. Moreover, there was a surge in the number of cases which created a record of adding cases.

In addition to an increase in the number of cases, there was also an increase in the ratio of positive confirmed cases or the positivity rate of Corona cases. The ratio has been increasing since the PSBB extension of the Transitional period on June 4, 2020.
