Quoted from the Evening Standard on Sunday, November 11th 2018, Razek has delivered his apology for the statement that reaped criticism of the world. He claimed that his opinion "hurts feelings" of many other person out there. In an interview with Vogue, Razek was asked about "new things" which would have been featured in the Victoria's Secret fashion show to attract the Instagram generation.

Razek answered straightforwardly that he was reluctant to invite the transgender model at the annual event. "If asked whether we are considering inviting a transgender model or an extra-sized model, we have considered it" Razek said. "We made extra-sized model shows in 2000 but nobody watched them."
