A man battered a two year-old boy and make him suffer permanent mental and physical disabilities

News24xx.com -  A man battered a two year-old boy which has left the youngster capable of feeling nothing except pain.  He was placed in intensive care after sufering severe head trauma, a lacerated liver, multiple fractures and a burn. He will suffer permanent mental and physical disabilities because of the abuse.

The man named Adam Thomas, 28, was handed two life sentences last month for abusing that boy, Thomas Sullivan, as well as his three year-old sister Amery last summer.

Before, he had been dating their mother, Denise Rae Watson, 26. Sullivan was rushed to the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston after Adam Thomas, his mother’s partner attacked him last September.

Thomas Sullivan's aunt, Sarah Sullivan, from Conroe in Texas, told, "He’s only responsive to pain. He breathes on his own, and then he stops. He’s not doing well. He’s going to live, but they said we need to prepare for him to be in this state for the rest of his life. My nephew is completely paralyzed for life in and out of a vegetative state."

Sarah explained that Amery had to undergo kidney surgery to repair injuries believed to have been inflicted by Adam Thomas repeatedly kicking her tiny torso.

The little girl also endured fractures to her ribs, clavicle and pelvis, as well as numerous other injuries. 

Adam Thomas also directed the children’s mother to lie to police about the abuse he had inflicted on her children.

But, Denise Watson cooperated with the probe into her boyfriend, and testified against him.
