News24xx.com - Since the beginning of Marvel Cinematic Universe, in 2008’s Iron Man, Marvel always served a post-credits scene to give hints to the audience about what will come next. For example, in 2012’s The Avengers, there is a post-credits scene that serves as an extended joke in the end of the film.

However, there is not post-credits scene in the latest MCU film, Avengers: Endgame, which might have given audience a hint of what will come next after this. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo reveal the reason why.

“It was called ‘Endgame’ for a reason. This is it. This is the ending. The book is closed on that chapter of the Marvel Universe and a new book will get written,” Joe Russo said.

The Russo brothers have become very important figures in the franchise. They began their debut in MCU in delivering Captain America: The Winter Soldier, followed by Captain America: Civil War. They then work on Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The brothers confirmed that it was also the end of their collaboration with Marvel, at least for now.

“It’s our Endgame, at least for now. We don’t have any plans for now to make any more Marvel movies. It certainly may come up in the future at some point. We have a wonderful working relationship with [Marvel Studios] and a great passion for what they’re doing,” Anthony Russo said.

He said that there is no future for them in the MCU. That is why there is no post-credits scene.

“There will be a future, of course, but it’s not our responsibility,” he said.
