Tragic, teenager in Malaysia committed suicide after poll she made in Instagram encourage her to do suicide

News24xx.com - Suicide is not something that can be considered as trivial thing. Recently it was reported that a 16-year-old teenage girl from Malaysia committed suicide after making a poll on Instagram. In the poll included the message "Very Important, Help Me to Choose Life or Death".

The teenager's death attracted public attention. Attorney and member of parliament in the Penang area, Ramkarpal Singh, opens up the possibility of whether netizens participating in polls and support the teenager's suicide can be responsible for her death.

"Will the girl be alive now if majority of netizens on Instagram prevent her from committing suicide? Will the girl also hear netizens' advice and seek professional help" Ramkarpal was quoted as saying by the Guardian on Wednesday, May 15th 2019.

"Will the encouragement of netizens influence the girl's decision to end her own life? Because suicide attempts are a form of violation in this country, then the act of encouraging suicides can also be included as one" he continued.

Founder of the Into The Light Indonesia Community, Benny Prawira, once commented on what if we find friends who confide in wanting to commit suicide on social media. According to Benny there are only two choices namely to directly reach them out to help them or just keep quiet.
