Pekanbaru Muhammadiyah regional leader clarifies demonstration on Muhammadiyah 3 High School

News24xx.com -  Addressing the news about the demonstration of Muhammadiyah 3 Vocational High School students on Monday, July 15, 2019, the Pekanbaru Muhammadiyah Regional Leader (PD) delivered clarification and chronology about the event.

As we known, the student demonstrations related to the deviation of BOS funds and the dismissal of two teachers, Gusrianto, S.IP and AhlulAlamsyah, S.IP, which led to demands for dismissal of the Principal Drs. Alisman.

The clarification was delivered by Chairperson Drs. H. Syafrizal Syukur that accompanied by secretary Aldia Witra, SE, MI.Kom on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at PD Muhammadiyah Kota Pekanbaru Office, K.H. Ahmad Dahlan street Pekanbaru. 

Syafrizal said that the student demonstration that took place on Monday, July 15, 2019 was the second time after the previous demonstration on April 8, 2019.

Furthermore, PD Muhammadiyah Kota Pekanbaru has formed an investigation team on April 15, 2019 that will works until June 2, 2019. 

As long as the investigation team carries out its duties, the head of the M 3 Vocational School Drs. Alisman has a non-active status and has also been appointed the Acting Officer.

"This step was taken so that the team can examine Drs. Alisman to the fullest and until now it has been reactivated," he said.

From the examination and investigation conducted by the team regarding the alleged misuse of BOS funds, it was concluded that it could not be proven. 

Then related to the dismissal of teachers unilaterally as intended by mass action demands, basically it has been carried out according to the correct procedure. 

PD Muhammadiyah Kota Pekanbaru, said Syafrizal, legally never appointed a teacher on behalf of Gusrianto, S.IP to teach.

"In fact, Gusrianto, S.IP., has taught PPKN subjects in the period from February to June 2019, it was because he was asked by Ahlul Alamsyah, S.IP., to help him. Meanwhile, the contract status for Ahlul Alamsyah itself is valid until June 30, 2019 and is not extended by PD Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru City. From this problem, it can be concluded that there is no unilateral dismissal, "he explained.

He also explained, before the demonstration took place by Students on Monday July 15, 2019, there had been a Destruction of School Facilities, namely in the form of burglary on the door of the principal's office and the destruction of CCTV cameras by unknown people. 

From the CCTV footage, the damage was carried out by two people.

For the incident of destruction, PD Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru City regretted and supported the steps of the school to report to the Police to investigate the perpetrators and the legal process thoroughly.
