P3APPKB Social Service Meranti Supervises Neglected Children and Dropouts

News24xx.com - The Social Service for Women Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (Dinsos P3APPKB) of the Kepulauan Meranti Regency is increasingly intense in overseeing the presence of abandoned children in the Meranti Islands Regency through the Women's and Child Protection Sector (PPA) and the Integrated Service Unit (UPT) for the Protection of Women and Children of Social Affairs (P3AP2KB) Meranti.

The Head of Meranti P3AP2KB Social Service through Secretary Juwita Ratna Sari, said that recently, the Social Affairs Agency of P3AP2KB Meranti received a report from the community that there were two children who often roamed around the Selatpanjang City, Kepulauan Meranti Regency.

"He, we got a report from the Society on Tuesday (01/10/2019). And on Wednesday we immediately tracked the whereabouts of the child and we went home," he explained.

"From there we get information that the child apparently dropped out of school. Maybe due to family economic factors and lack of parental attention," he added.

Based on these findings, Juwita said that the P3APPKB Kepulauan Meranti District Social Affairs Agency plans to find solutions related to the child by bringing it to the Child Social Rehabilitation Center that Needs Special Protection (BRSAMPK) in Riau Province to undergo Rehabilitation.

"The solution is to deliver it to the provinces to undergo rehabilitation. However, it is clear that the most important thing is that we seek prior approval from the existing family, and also complete the administration that must be prepared," he said.
