News24xx.com - The City Government of Pekanbaru appreciates the breakthrough of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kemen PUPR) turning peat water into raw water. This breakthrough was disseminated to the delegates of the city and district governments in Riau.

Deputy Mayor of Pekanbaru Ayat Cahyadi after opening the dissemination and dissemination of technology standards in the field of drinking water and environmental settlements at the Prince Hotel, Wednesday (11/13/2019), said, this activity was held by the Research and Development Center (Puslitbang) Housing and Settlements of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing . Participants came from several district and city governments in Riau, academics, the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN), Indonesian Real Estate (REI), and the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI).

"This activity is a dissemination of water treatment and settlement structuring. They socialize about the results of research on treating peat water so that it becomes raw water," he said.

This socialization is considered very good. Moreover, Riau Province is very much peatland.

"In Pekanbaru City, the peatlands are in Payung Sekaki District," Ayat explained.

The Center for Housing and Settlements of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing can also treat polluted water. This polluted water is treated more easily, efficiently and economically.

"This is very good. The participants can participate in the dissemination activities as well as possible so that they can be applied in their respective environments.
