PT TBS Distributes Aid for Flood Victims, Not All Villages Affected by Flooding

KUANSING- Floods that hit Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province, since Monday (9/12), has left deep sorrow for people affected by floods.

Because not only houses were affected by floods, but the area of ??paddy fields / fields and schools were also affected by floods and so forth. As a result the community must be covered in lumus to save all their belongings, to higher ground.

Even the rice plants, some were damaged by hundreds of hectares due to drowning since last Monday, and likewise elementary / MI and junior high school students are forced to not take the Odd Semester Exams, because their schools were affected by flooding.
 

Therefore, a helping hand and assistance from the government and companies operating in Kuantan Singingi Regency are urgently needed.

One of the companies that helped provide assistance to residents affected by the flood, is PT. Tri Bhakti Sarimas (PT. TBS) which is engaged in oil palm and cocoa plantations and cattle farms, which is located in Pucuk Rantau Subdistrict Base.

Where PT TBS has helped provide assistance to flood victims in the District of Kuantan Mudik, namely Only Two Villages in Kuantan Mudik (Sangau and Banjar Padang).

"The delivery of aid was handed over directly by the Management of PT. TBS namely GA HRD Kehndra Martono, SH. MH and Director of Operations Atmojo," said Public Relations of PT. TBS Ravi when contacted Riau24.Com via his cellular phone, Thursday (12/12).

When asked, what kind of assistance is given. According to him, in the form of groceries consisting of Rice, Indomie, Air Laicos and Edible Oil, the number of packages as many as 100 pieces. "So all the basic food items are already in the office package, all of them there," he said.

When asked further, why only two villages (Sangau and Banjar Padang) received flood assistance. In fact, in Kuantan Mudik, there are reportedly about seven villages affected by the banjo, such as Sangau Village, Banjar Padang, Aur Duri, Kinali, Across the Beach, Rantau Sialang and Luai.
