News24xx.com - Exactly today in 2006, the former Vice President of the Suharto era, Sudharmono, who had been accused by the PKI of passing away.

He died at 17.40 at the Jakarta MMC Kuningan Hospital at the age of 79 years. Sudharmono had been unconscious since Sunday night and had to use breathing aids.

Quoted from tirto.id, during his lifetime Sudharmono was considered to have links with the Indonesian Socialist Youth (Pesindo), who later became the People's Youth (PR) who were close to the Indonesian Communist Party.

So when news of Suharto chose Sudharmono to be his deputy when he was Golkar's General Chairperson, many refused and linked him to the PKI.
