32 Pekanbaru Residents be Caught Littering, This is the Fine

PEKANBARU - Control of illegal waste collection sites (TPS) continues to be carried out by the Pekanbaru City Environment and Hygiene Agency (DLHK).

To this day DLHK has succeeded in securing 32 residents of littering in the Operation of Catching Hands (OTT) against dozens of residents conducted in various locations in 12 districts.

This was conveyed by the Secretary of the DLHK Pekanbaru City, Azhar accompanied by the Head of Environmental Law Enforcement, Rubi Adrian, told reporters on Wednesday (2/19/2020) morning.

"The 32 people whose ID cards we have temporarily secured, before the fine is paid. The fine is IDR. 250 thousand. They are at the Task Force OTT which moves to several locations, including in Singalang Street, Bukit Barisan Street, Arengka over Sidomulyo housing, Jalan HR Subrantas precisely near the Tuesday market. "Duyung-Nangka Street, Rumbai Yos Sudarso street," said Azhar.

Of the 32 KTPs secured, said Azhar, 17 of them had already paid a fine. While 15 more ID cards are still being held at DLHK.

"For those who have not paid the fine, the NIK is blocked. There are those who try to make a new KTP, because it is blocked and cannot make arrangements, they return to DLHK and pay the fine and take the KTP," explained Azhar.

Azhar conveyed, the main target of the city government is not on fines, but rather raises public awareness of clean and healthy lifestyles. (R24 / put)
