Government spokesman for the handling of the corona virus, Achmad Yurianto said people who had tested positive for the corona virus or Covid-19 but with mild symptoms did not need to be hospitalized.

According to him, the patient was enough to just isolate themselves at home.

"If we look carefully, actually many of them do not need to go to the hospital. Because positive with minor complaints is actually enough with self-isolation," Yurianto said in a press conference at BNPB Office, Sunday (22/3), as reported by CNN Indonesia.

Yurianto said that there were currently 514 positive cases of corona. Not to mention patients with surveillance and residents with flu symptoms who go to the hospital.

This makes many hospitals have full capacity to treat corona patients or with corona symptoms.

Therefore, according to him, the choice to isolate himself, including for someone who has been stated positive, needs to be made.

So the hospital can be prioritized for corona positive patients and really need treatment.

"So that only moderate cases with severe complications are sent to the hospital with sophisticated equipment. We must be selective to take advantage of existing hospitals," he said.

Yurianto explained, someone who was undergoing isolation at home still had to pay attention to contact with other family members.

For example, he said not to use cutlery and drinking together.

While for family members and neighbors must continue to provide support to someone who is isolating himself.

Yurianto said the data per Sunday (22/3) the number of positive patients increased by 64 people. So now the total number of positive patients infected with the virus is 514.

The increase also occurred in victims who died, which has now become 48 fatalities. While for the number of patients recovered to 29 people.

"There are 64 new cases added. So the total cases are 514 people," he said.
