Suzuki Ignis will not made in Indonesia, this is the reason

News24xx.com -  The presence of Suzuki Ignis raise attention from public in Indonesia. Until now, Suzuki claims that they sold Ignis more than 12,000 units.

Ignis is a development product from Maruti Suzuki, a company from India. In Indonesia, the range of Ignis's price is IDR 141 million until IDR 171 million and the goods is imported from India.

General Manager (GM) Strategic Planning Department of Suzuki Indomobil Motor, R.Uchiki explains, to adding local assembled model in Indonesia is not too easy, because need many considerations and process, including investment step and construction of new facility. It takes two or three years for process of Ignis.

 

Ignis was introduced in April 2017 and entered the top three best-selling Suzuki cars.

Uchiki said in 2017 the sales of Ignis is more than 150,000 units. Suzuki Ignis is believed to help Suzuki for increase market share until 10 percent in Indonesia.
