News24xx.com - The Iranian side called Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan to withstand his military offensive in Afrin, Syria. Tehran requested that Ankara must make a constructive effort instead of military aggression. As quoted by CNNIndonesia.com, the statement was delivered by Iranian Foreign Ministry who claimed to be concerned over the Turkish operation in Afrin, Syria.

 


"Tehran hopes that the (Turkish military) operation will be stopped, so the crisis in Syria will not be an increasingly severe," he said, quoted by AFP.


As we known, Turkish military with their tanks began to enter of Syria on Sunday, January 21, 2018. The purpose of military operations is to drive out the militant group of Protection of the Kurdish People (YPG). YPG itself is an ally of the United States (US). Donald Trump's government has announced about the formation of border security guards that dominated by YPG as many as 30 thousand personnel.


YPG is closely associated with the Turkish Kurdistan Workers Party (TKWP). And Turkey regards, YPG as a terror group that threatening of national security. While Russia and Iran are the two countries that pro toPresident Bashar al-Assad. Turkey is a country that supports rebel forces and prevent the presence of an autonomous Kurdish area in the north of the country.


Meanwhile, America also urgent that Turkey does not do a military operation. It aims to prevent of civilians from becoming victims of the war.
