Putin said that he had no intention to have an arms contest with the West would do anything to settle their differences.

Putin’s victory happens right when Russia’s relationship with Westerns countries are not good. It will extend his political dominance in Russia to 2024.

It makes him the longest Russian ruler after the Soviet dictator, Josef Stalin, and it frightens the Western countries of any upcoming confrontation.

However, Putin, who is 65 years old this year, called a meeting with his competitors on Sunday, to hint on his wish of focusing on domestic matters instead of international matters.

He wanted to raise the living standard of Russian civilians by investing in education, infrastructure and health, while reducing the fund used for defense.
