Indonesia will be the center of Hyundai factories in Southeast Asia

The discourse on the establishment of factories in Southeast Asia, like Indonesia and Vietnam by Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) been hearing out again. Especially for Indonesia, the process already on the finalization phase.

That is delivered by President Director of Hyundai Mobil Indonesia Cooperation, Mukiat Sutikno. If it will be completed in the near future, Indonesia will be the center of production of Hyundai cars in the ASEAN region.

"Indonesia is a country in ASEAN that has the potential of the highest selling of our products, so if the Hyundai has decides, Indonesia will become a production base in ASEAN" added Mukiat.

Although several years back the automotive market tends to decrease, he added, Indonesia is considered to have the highest potential in ASEAN in the terms of the automotive world. Historically, this country once has the dramatically the highest of car sales, threefold in a year.

"If the ASEAN automotive market grows much bigger then Indonesia, indeed, 4 to 5 years before, the sale was stagnated and even slightly down. But do not think this is bad because the world's economy is also going down. After infrastructure is settled, Indonesia will be like in 1998 " said Mukiat.
