Inspiring, the 96-year-old woman from Mexico became the oldest student in her school

News24xx.com -  Education is one of the most important things in human life. Education will determines and guides the future and the direction of human life. Although not everyone thinks that way, education is still the most important that human need in their life. Because education has serves to develop the ability and shape the character.

This is that underlies an elderly Mexican woman to study, despite her age is not supportive for it.

Guadalupe Palacios, 96 years was stands out in her high school class in Mexico. It's because Palacios, try to live out her dream to finishing the high school by her 100th birthday. And in the classroom, she is also the most enthusiastic student.

Palacios aka Dona Lupita is a students at High School Number 2 in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, the state capital.

Every day, she went to school and she diligently took notes in her chemistry and mathematics classes. And this month, is the first time for her to go to school.

“I feel ready to give it my all. Today is a marvellous day,” she said on her first day of high school in the southern state of Chiapas.

Wore the school uniform of a white polo shirt with a black skirt and her own personal touch: a pink sweater, she was welcomed with applause from her fellow 

Maybe you will ask, why in her 96 age, Palacios still went to school ?

In the past, Palacios grew up in poverty in an indigenous village and spent her childhood helping her family farm corn and beans instead of going to school.

When adult, she went to work selling chickens at market, married twice and had six children. Along the way, she picked up arithmetic, but never learned to read and write. 

When she turned 92 years old (in 2014) she she decided to enrolled in a literacy program.  In 2015, she enrolled in a primary school program for adult learners. In less than four years, she completed both primary and middle school. And she decided to enrol in a regular public school, with classmates eight decades younger.

She have a dream, before turned 100 years old, she can finishing her education in senior high school.
