Electric vespa will enliven the Indonesia motor show on next month

Piaggio Global some time ago had introduced an electric motor scooter called Vespa Elettrica. It indicates that although it has an old face, Vespa does not want to miss the current era that began to shift to electric vehicles.

But for Indonesia, PT Piaggio Indonesia President Director Marco Noto La Diega said it is possible to also bring Vespa Elettrica. But it is not certain that the scooter in question will be present at GIIAS 2018 or not.

"Yes, we already have an electric motor, Piaggio Group has introduced Vespa Elettrica, but to sell to Indonesia, I think not because we have to pay attention to various aspects first," he said.

"Just to show off, we've introduced it sometime in a certain country, but in Indonesia, well maybe later… just wait," Marco continued.

The reluctance of Piaggio Indonesia to sell Vespa Elettrica is not without cause. Some aspects that must be prepared first according to him is the market or users of electric motors in the country, qualified technicians, and after-sales service.
