News24xx.com - It turns out that bread has existed since thousands of years ago. Archaeologists have just discovered, the world's first bread with the age of 14,400 years old.

Dishes of various types and materials have been present for thousands of years longer than previously thought. At that time, most likely the food serves as a nutritional support. It is seen, from the process of food processing, that it is certain that the food produces energy for the body.

Reported by Independent UK, July 17th 2018, archaeologists and researchers have discovered the oldest bread in the world. This bread is made, and may be consumed in a kind of complex religious ceremony.

The discovery comes from the historic site Shubayqa 1 in Jordan. The researchers found that the remains of food ingredients were usually served in religious ceremonies or rituals at the time.

In the debris, there are animal bones such as antelope, poultry, rabbit. Includes other food items, such as wild mustard seeds, charred bulbs, and pieces of three different types of bread without yeast.

Many archaeologists considered this food to be a diet of religious events. It is likely that the food, baked or eaten with flat bread, is like the eating culture of people in the Middle East and South Asia until now.

"This discovery shows that food has more value than calories alone, it is shown that people 14,000 years ago, have started eating food as a social culture, as well as an ideological culinary tradition" said Prof Dorian Fuller, as one archaeologist from The Institute of Archeology in London, England.
