The number of death toll from the boat accident in Missouri to 17 with victims aged 1 to 70

News24xx.com -  After a duckboat sinking on Thursday, July 19 2018, from Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri, at least the number of people killed has climed to 17, with victims aged between 1 year and 70. 

And on Friday, July 20 2018, all of victims have been recovered. And the other 14 passengers on board the Ride the Ducks Branson vessel had survived. Those who manged to escape the vessel were saved from the waters by other pleasure craft in the area.

The Ride the Ducks Branson vessel is an amphibious vessels like the duck boat and became popular during World War II, and have since become popular with tourists.

Those killed include driver Robert Williams. But another crew member who has not been named is being treated in hospital. 

From investigation, known that life jackets were stored on board the boat, although it is currently unclear whether any passengers had time to strap one on. 


Horrifying video footage that recorded by another visitor, showed the duck boat’s open sides letting water as waves lapped against it.

It later rolled downwards, and lies under 80 feet of murky water. 

Wind gusts began arriving at the lake around 6:59pm, according to CNN, ten minutes before the first 911 call was received.
